The Human Condition

The Human Condition

written by: Hummxngbxrd

The opposite of love is not hate, but fear.
The human condition is to live in despair
Thoughts of unattainable perfection
The custom of eluding true reflection

In the dark night of the soul
Only you can make you whole
Only you can lead the way
Your choice to go on or stay

On toward your newest self
On until there’s no old left
Even so there’s still a chance
It won’t be the perfect nuance

Even so, there’s beauty still
There’s awe in being strong of will
And finding joy in everything
Even in your unraveling

All the parts you need to be whole
Will find you as you walk that road
The road of self discovery
The learning of self mastery
