The Palace of Dream

The Palace of Dream

written by: Sheereen Fatima

The sun goes down behind the hill,
The all-bright sky turns into lilac hues,
The moon shines amidst the dark clouds,
I wake up from my horrendous nightmare,
All drenched in sweat and haggard breaths,
The terror tumbles through my body,
The echoes are heard in their pure tone.
A chill passes down my spine,
And I change my side,
I twist and turn and close my eyes,
But sleep is far from the real world,
The realms of Dream await its guest.
I guess tonight, the host has to wait,
As I wander in the kingdom of Destiny,
Desire, Despair, Death; all at once.
