Through The Mist

written by: Wolfgang H.

up the rocky road against gusts of head winds
thick mist clouding the eyes
wasn't it for the cold it might be an adventure
good that the steps fall side by side
and solitude is a whore of the past
hands touching all the way through the opaque air
winds can only add to the feeling of togetherness
that spreads in the mist with every step
and the inner warming

I am an amateur writer of poetry and short fiction, mainly in German but also in English. I started writing at the feeble age of 53 years, that was three years ago.
