Back and Forth

written by: Sarita Montiel

I kept pulling myself backwards
Trying to meet you in our comfort zone
You were waiting there all the times
But I kept being on my own

I kept crawling into your black hole
Your warm embrace and rough hands
I misplaced lonely with being whole

I embraced your pain, all your mistakes
Until one day I realized
I was one of them
