Those four years
Feel like the only four
That can flash
Yet stand perfectly still.
It all just meshes together

The challenge
Is to find your present
When everyone is telling you
To plan out your future
Splitting yourself across time

Because of our sheer numbers
And an overwhelmed system
Many are left lost
In the green screen sea of digits
Who could begin to understand every story

But that’s what we are
Stories,
Not equations,
Left unfinished
Yet shut closed

We were told to turn
The page
A new life
Built on fading memories
Replaced by new things to forget

Benjamin R Bray

Writing my way through life's journey; finding inspiration in the people who make me feel like I deserve to be here. In their unconditional love that I find what little strength I feel I have to face this overwhelming world. Through my writing I find escape in expression of anything I'm feeling at the moment the pen makes contact with the paper.
