One Sunny Summer Solstice Day

One sunny summer solstice day
Drops of rain upon the pane
Windows rattled
Timbers swayed
Rafters groaned
The house did swoon
Pelting hail upon the roof
Thunder clapped
Lightning streaked
Cloudbursts reared their ugly heads
As quickly as the storm had come
The storm dispersed
The calm returned
Our tiny house
Once more stood still

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
