Dreamstate:

I
Sleep a little,
My Love
Keep a little
of the Stars touched

I give her Space
so there’s also room
to hang the Moon
I paint miles
of smiles
across her face
She is
gentle strokes of midnight
&
sunshine at noon
The frequency
keeping me
harmonized & in tune

II
Reaching for Heaven
Her skin undressed
as a blessing
An intimate connection
Beneath the mimosa
Hummingbird moths
feed on its pink bloom
She,
in full bloom
under a super moon
Seems
like a dream
The other side of memory
Where she
deliquesces tenderly

III
Her faint silhouette
and her taste….
…still so wet
The coup de gras
Her
four poster bed
Arabesque
Her eyes flicker star fire
when she smiles
We escape the shrink wrap for a while…

…and get lost.

IV
I speak of
An ocean of stars
Fireflies
&
Other elements
of magic skies
to describe her eyes
&
Like diamonds
Cutting through all my false facades
Seeing ME
& all my flaws
Yet,
she continues
loving me unconditionally
Like
something from
a wonderful dream

***

Awakened:

I
Spell your name across my heart
to leave me spellbound
Found from out the dark
Becoming something profound
Now it starts…

II
Over the fence
Past your defenses
Just by
me being me
Your smile stops me.
Hell, it stops time.
Look at you
Like beautiful wild poppies in bloom
Like unfolding fields full of your hues
My favorite Muse

***

The Letter:

Dearest You,

So
Extra-ordinary
This is true
Immaculate
Spectacular
You
What a wonderful view
Amber strokes of embers evoke this note
addressed to you
Let’s go &
coalesce for a few
I wanna get lost in your blossom in bloom

All my best,
Rob

***

Wishlists:

I
I wanna not find myself…
Lost
Tossed across
the curvature of your Earth
In-service of your surface
Perfect
Deep into the valleys
Steep upon the peaks
Above
Beneath
& into every breath
in-between…

…that’s
if we remember to breathe

II
Your desire
Etched in whispers
upon my neck & lobe
Resonating into my very depths below
Both thirsty alive
at the mercy of night
The words that stir us inside
Keep burning for light
to write
The chapters
of our
Mad Verse

III
My reckless
thirst is for your heaven
Rough on the edges
Impulsive
to the point
of being headless
You give it back
Compliments
Complements
On with it…

***

Blo(ss)om:

I
I was there
half a moon ago
with
Sonatas & Serenades
Your scent
still lingers,
fingering
on my strings
The thoughts
never taper off
as I march
my way across your
timeless florescent horizons
A waltz,
Slow & Steady
until you know you’re ready

II
Forgive me for staring like you were bare-skinned
My imagination is quite the beast
to say the least
I wouldn’t mind one but
if you’d
Tangle me up in your web
Mangle me up in your bed
Dangle me over the edge
Hanging on to your every breath
hoping to steal one

***

The Harvests:

I
You wore moonflowers in your hair
Unbound & bare
I became oblivious to everything else
Totally unaware
As I melted into your center
I found mine
A sublime unwind of the mind

II
Bliss persists
to drip
from your lips

I can’t resist

I lose track of time
Climbing your divine vines w/little sips
of your wine
Intoxicating saturation
of
Pleasures unreal
Treasures revealed
An
immeasurable feel
of tasting your
Words
& Curves

III
The evening gulf breeze
Whispering
lilac & lavender
lucidity
Cypress needles dance
as the bayou breathes

Exhaling the winter air’s retreat
Slicing in between
the patio screens
Here I sit
next to you
Blooming
like spring
These are
the most beautiful things

IV
Midnight
Moonlight
That last kiss
was magic
The invite
Tonight
That last kiss
was fantastic
Going down
the checklist
in my head
After sunrise
You became
breakfast in bed
then
brunch
Both tapping out
before lunch

…I could get
use to
this…

V
…your curvy thighs
&
flirty eyes –
I serve
You smile
& bat your lashes
then pour slow
as molasses…

…your feel is surreal
Under the cover of night
Cloak & Dagger
You, fantastic and spectacular
Acrobatics immaculate
as I splash into the stir…

VI
Cinderbliss
It begins to pour
a tender scorch
Ashes & sour mashes
Wild hearts & whiskey nights
Single batches

You linger passionate
Unrequited
Yet undeniable
So very exquisite
& desirable
Pour it beyond the limit
That fire full
I always try my best
to divide it into two

***

Obsession:

I
I count the minutes til
the next breathless endeavor
the next reckless whatever
Kept looping in this Forever

II
Together
Doesn’t mean
To Get Her
She’s not a possession
Individuality is key
So she
can remain to be
who you fell for
Not reduced to
an obsession
Wild flowers
aren’t meant
to be picked

III
She runs wild in spring grass
My imagination is too great for her to grasp
I never ever even ask
To be honest
I’d never dare begin to
My pen tip dripping fool
as I swim thru
recollections
To drown in them
would release me
But this was
never meant
to be easy

***

The Turn:

I
I witness your heart’s fire
Grandiose ribbons of starlight
Ambience whispering
Setting the scenery serene
Bleeding the dream in me
Into this imagery complete
Serendipitous unexpected gifts
of this symbiotic bliss

II
Where have our dreams gone?
Stretched beyond the dawn
Like the stars
Always just out of reach
Falling through our hands
Like clutching a piece of the beach
I’ll never explore
your shores
Meeting in the middle
I’ve got to learn to
give in more
&
live a little

***

Restitution:

I
I will do more
to feel you more
to see you more
to hear you more
to taste your pour…

…every naked part
spilling thru your breaks & scars
Taken from the dark
&
Awakened in my heart
I will do more
to explore
The Greatness
that you are
Painted in its art

II
Uneasy dreams
Ripples oscillating
through the total stillness
I feel its surreal bliss
as I witness
something beautiful,
yet dangerous
The idea of Love
Shakes my foundations
Through the change
I carry patience

…still needing much practice
Before it’s mastered

***

The Toxicity:

I
Tease me
with just a taste
&
leave me hangry
A raging
self contained blaze
Your lips drips
such sweet succulence
Sucked up
in the undertow
of your Voluptuousness
For the love
of the twist
Braided bliss
You make me
obsessive compulsive
for
this indulgence

II
We’re,
neither, madder
either, sweeter

…apart yet still connected
Distilling the precious seconds
From the collective wreckage
&
maKing tHe beSt of it
the deeper we feel
the deeper our madness
but we’re,
neither, any madder
either, any sweeter

***

Reality Check:

I
Staring at me through red
Words came
Carelessly said
Taking the wind out of my sails
The air out of my breath
It all faded
from grey
to black
that day
We went from
orbits to resonance

II
This crypt
of my heart
archaic & desolate
against
your
incandescent ambience
Electricity in her stare
We maneuver the voids
Distilling Joy
This intoxicating toxicity
as we keep
driving down dead end roads
Playing make believe
Yesterhurt whispering softly
From oceans of azure skies
That once forgot me
Struck twice by lightning
I become the fire igniting
Lighting the five horizons
Tomorrow is a reflection of yesterday
Echoes of words we’d never say

III
The evening gulf coast moisture overcast obscures the moonlight
Makes for a faint silhouette
She melts back into the night
A restlessness
to remind me
of what I can’t put behind me
No longer capable of flight
A prisoner seduced by relic memories

…it’s just me

IV
Obscured by overcast
You can’t find me
So you remind me
of who I am not
Thanks, Love
When push comes to shove
You know what buttons to push
so I become too much & never enough
You project
your own self loathing
& expect
a flower to open
Stuck b/t sunshine & rain
Never growing

V
You tempt me
to no end
With a State of Empty, again
I pick up the win
& you lure me back in again
Like a moth
to the flame
Nevermind that
I’d be lost
All the same
Applauding the pain
Showing off my stained remains
You loved me once
Just for the moment

***

The Fade:

I
Alone
as the hours pass
Closet bones in an hourglass

On my throne
of The Throwed
& The Thrown
Perched on my castle towers of glass
Cast my stones
They shower back
They take the power back
Spilling Stoned
Sour
aftermath
I’m
still trying
to get
the laughter back

II
I awake
from more than dreams
& break
torn at the seams
Stone-cold sober reality
is
all this time
alone hones a cold stir
found in me
Grow fond of it
as it all goes quiet
Continue on w/it
from the back of eyelids
The blackness
Golden hues
The silence
Fully imbues
