the constellations

beaming into your eyeballs

Why are you working

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: An urban scene, complete with a bus stop, traffic cones, and buildings. The words of the haiku sit top and center in white MV Boli Regular font. The starry sky above breaks through the shadowy parts of the cityscape, heavenly phenomena giving off golden light. There is a silhouette on the right-hand side of the image, standing in the street just next to the bus stop. They appear to be carrying a briefcase and looking up at the sky, left hand shielding their eyes. It’s hard to tell because, like all the other shadows in the image, their features are eclipsed by the darkness and golden light of the night sky, which seems to be shining right through them like a window.
