NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A blue and aqua ocean background. Extending from the far right is what appears to be a land mass in the shape of an art, attached to a figure made of the same land mass. They are facetted green and brown, except for fiery, lava coloured hair, and one small lake where the eye would be. The figure looks right, to just above the extended hand. Here sits a tiny vessel in reddish-brown with a white, heart-shaped sail. The lines of the haiku occupy the top center, middle left, and bottom to the right of center. The letters appear in white Bickham Script Pro Regular font, reminiscent of the white caps of waves. Created in Adobe Photoshop Elements.

I am mostly a visual artist, but I like to create "found poetry", specifically daily haiku made from the statuses of my Facebook friends. It was my Mom who started this, and officially passed the responsibility onto me when she became too busy.
