I inhale innocence and guilt,
torment and recovery
…internalize to cleanse it.
I exhale wisdom and calm,
inspiration and fire
…stoke to feed it.
I swallow muttered secrets and loud affirmations.
I imbibe spilled tears and forged sweat.
I listen religiously and respond in kind.
I dance about; rustling leaves,
stirring waves, and nursing storms.
My destruction knows no mercy yet aids a greater animus.
I lie down still within my own eye
reconciling the sensibilities of my actions
before recommitting to my design and purpose.
