Eloquent shadows of time with their whispers linger
Like the clouds in the monsoon sky they linger
What is it they say I think I can barely hear
Like noises on a beach at high tide they linger
Some are just sounds some are wisdom, dear
It is their chuckles and laughters that linger
Sands of time they shift as they pass
Their shadows they change and linger
Changing shape making vivid patterns
Time changes but their chatters linger
They have seen the light and those shades of gray
Bland and spice, sweet and nice, their tastes linger
I wonder what they say, why they stay
Like strands of her hair on a windy day,
On her face, they linger.
