The Embers of Loss

The Embers of Loss

written by: Eliza Segiet

Enchanting reality
will not help anymore.
Maybe prudence, wisdom?
There comes ripe, endangered time,
the time of waiting.
Clocks do not stand still!

Apiaries are disappearing,
skyscrapers are growing,
in which their busy residents
don’t have time,
to think about the future of the planet.
They find it only when
they awaken their own needs.

Until everything has died out,
though it is already moribund,
reason must be resurrected.
Let’s open up
to a new march
towards a rebuilt,
and unpolluted world.
Today, not tomorrow,
let us open up to the flames of life,
let us shut away from the embers of losing everything.

Żar Utraty

written by: Eliza Segiet

Już nie pomoże
zaklinanie rzeczywistości.
Może roztropność, mądrość?
Nastał brzemienny, zagrożony
czas wyczekiwania.
Zegary nie stoją w bezruchu!

Nikną pasieki,
rosną wieżowce,
w których zapracowani mieszkańcy
nie mają czasu,
by myśleć o przyszłości planety.
Znajdują go wtedy, gdy
rozbudzają własne potrzeby.

Dopóki wszystko nie wymarło,
ale już jest dogorywające
trzeba wskrzesić rozum.
Otworzyć się
na nowy wymarsz
w odbudowywany,
niezanieczyszczany świat.
Dzisiaj, nie jutro,
pootwierajmy się na płomienie życia,
zamknijmy na żar utraty wszystkiego.
