My Roots
written by: Aida
From Portugal, where love abounds.
Peace loving family tree kept it strong,
where its roots are humbly rooted flat on
the ground. Deeply spiritual and fertile with
kindness and faithfulness.
They enjoyed the bounty of warmth rays
of sunshine with their closeness, endured
the storms with their oneness..and stayed
united after they’re flooded with strong
current of struggles in life.
But when a dying leaf fell off, one by one, they’re
harmoniously sharing and healing the pain.
Thank God, for a loving family tree that chained
with love of great-grandparents from birth and not
until death, for the seeds are deeply rooted on earth.
