Nature’s Paint Brush

Nature’s Paint Brush

written by: Noel Mouldovan

As I drove along Route 80 this morning,
Mother Nature caught me in her grasp
as she spread out her magnificent Fall
coat of many colors for me to-
witness and experience all along my path.

I watched as hints of reddish-orange
peeked out from behind shades of
green-upon-green.

Soon, streams of yellow and gold reached
up high and touched the peaks of un-Fall
trees that haven’t completely given up
their green of Indian Summer.

Then, the entire highway exploded with color
as fall Foliage blazed across it with-
Yellows…Golds…Red…Orange and
mixtures of Pinks and Purples.

I couldn’t keep my eyes off Nature’s Paint Brush
of colors before me as I slowed down to 50mph
and drenched myself in this rainbow all around me.

its beauty was in me and its warmth enriched me
as I willingly became captured by its Fall Palette
on a relaxing October day.
