Their wish like Ireland to make a stand
Driving down Unter den linden
Heading for Kurfurstendam
Sun shining bright
As we drive from the light
But beyond the wall not nice at all
Storm clouds on yonder
As black as night
Small piece of graffiti on poitsdammer platze
Checkpoint Charlie ain’t now all that
A GI, a Russian on their separate sides
Forever a reminder of the divide
A presence there but just for show
Only presents to buy with the tourist euro
