Just Another Evening

Silence drops
The scent spreads
Of cut wood
Over the eucalyptus,
Golden streaks, fall
Under the rising moon
Air streams, through
Layers of bamboo,
A black pair sits
Making love
At the edge
Of a broken twig,
And Jacaranda blooms
As I walk
Completely unaware
Of my past.
